Description
Press brake, also known as bending machine, is a tool for bending sheet and plate material, most commonly sheet metal. It bends the steel plates by clamping the workpiece between a punch and die. The structure mainly includes the bracket, the workbench and the clamping plate. Workbench is on the bracket, and consists of base and the clamp. The base is connected to the clamp plate through a hinge, and the base is composed of shell, coil and plate. The press brake is classified as hydraulic bending machine, CNC hydraulic type, CNC electro-hydraulic synchro model and three cylinders hydraulic pattern.

- The press brake adopts all steel welded structure, thus having enough strength and good rigidity.
- Bending machine uses hydraulic transmission. The cylinders of machine tools at both ends are placed on the slide block, thus the piston rod is flexible to move.

Working Principle
When using press brake, coil is powered on by a conductor. After powering on, the clamp generates gravity, so as to realize clamping pressing plate and base plate. Adopting the electromagnetic clamping, the clamp can work on a variety of workpiece. Various press brake molds are available in this bending machine to meet multifarious bending needs.
Components
- Adopting hydraulic transmission, the slider part is composed of sliding block, oil cylinder and the mechanical stop fine-tuning. The oil cylinders of bending machine at both ends are fixed on the frame, and mechanical block is controlled and adjusted by the CNC system.
- Manipulated by button box, the operating platform of press brake makes the motor move back and forth. And the moving distance is controlled by CNC system, and the readable smallest data is 0.01 mm (both the front and back positions are set up with limit switch).
- The synchronizing system of bending machine is made up of torsion shaft,, swing arm and joint bearings. This highly precise machine is stable in structure and performance. Its stop dog is adjusted by motor. The information and data is controlled by CNC system.
- Press brake is driven by the motor. And the size of block material is controlled by numerical control system.
Suggestion
To choose the wrong bending machine may result in high production cost. Thus, before you buy a press brake, you should take various factors into consideration, such as torsion, bending radius, bending capability, etc.
Maintenance and Repair
Before maintaining or cleaning, the bending machine should be shut down wiith the upper die aligned with the lower die. If you want to open the press brake or execute other operation, the machine should be changed into manually controlling mode to ensure safety. Details are as below:
- Hydraulic Oil Line
1. The oil level in tank should be checked every week, if it is oil window, hydraulic oil should be added to meet required oil level.
2. The oil tank of bending machine should be cleaned when the oil is changed.
3. The oil temperature should remain between 35℃ and 60℃ (caution: no higher than 70℃). If the oil temperature is too high, the oil quality and auxiliaries will be damaged.
- Filter
1. Once you change oil, the filter of press brake should be changed or cleaned completely.
2. The filter should be changed when the bending machine rings the warning alarm.
3. Air filter on the oil tank should be checked and cleaned every 3 months. And it is better to change the filter every 1 year.
- Hydraulic Components
1. Hydraulic components of press brakes should be cleaned each month to prevent dirt oudside. Besides, no chemical detergents are able to be used.
2. One month after a new bending machine is put into use, you should check the oil pipes. If deformation or other abnormal problem arises, the pipe should be changed into qualified ones. And one more moth later, you should tighten the joints of all accessories. Caution: during these operations, the press brake should be powered off.
